In the March 3, 1840 VILLAGE RECORD (not sure what town) was the Marriage On the 27th ult., (27th of Feb.) by the Rev. Wm. Urie, of Mr. THOMAS LANGLEY, of Chester County, Pa., to Miss SUSAN H. LOBB, of New Castle County, Delaware.
Chester County, Pa. and NC County Del. touch, so they did not necessarily live far from each other. If Anna LOBB was living with Susan and her 3 YO son Jonathan 10 years later, this certainly looks like Anna was a sister or mother to Susan, doesn't it?You didn't give Anna's age,nor the age of the Larkins and Elizabeth, but was Jonathan gone by 1860? If he died before age 13, then there goes that Langley line!
Do you descend from Anna as a LOBB or a LARKIN? I cannot yet link this Thomas Langley to my Southern NJ "gang," but I also stashed away the name of JONATHAN LANGLEY, b: Abt. 1720 in Christiana Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware.About 1745, he married Sarah MENDENHALL, b: 1723 in E. Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Although this Jonathan was born a whole century sooner than Thomas, it is interesting to see the first name of Jonathan that early, in that same neck of the woods.
