Hello Heather,
I just had to email you when I saw your post. We are related through our gg grandfathers.
Your gg grandfather was Alfred Frank LANGILLE and my gg grandfather were brothers.
My gg grandfather was Benjamin Langille, who's parents were John David Langille and Elizabeth Mader.
Benjamin Langille married Sophia Baker and had a son Stephen Stedman Langille who married Eunice Levy. Stephen and Eunice had a son my grandfather Basil Benjamin Langille who married Freda Cook who had a son Richard Basil Langille...my dad.
Please let me know if you anything else about the Levys. My gg-grandmother was Augusta Levy(on my mom's side) andon my dad's side my GG- grandmother was Eunice levy born on Little Tancook and her father my ggg- garndfather was Jeremiah Levy.
Please let me know more if you have found details that would be helpful.
I'm Ann-Marie Langille... all of my family have lived in Nova Scotia for 10 generations. Funny enough my Dad Richard married Patricia Elaine Heisler also from a boatbuilding family from Tancook. My mom's brother still has the family business on Gifford Island off the coast of Nova Scotia near Tancook.
Drop me a line when you can at [email protected]
Cheers,
ANn-Marie
