Langille Mountain in Alaska is named after this same William A. Langille.
Langille Peak in the Sierra - Nevada Mountain Range is named after William A Langille and his brother Harold Douglas Langille.
Langille Glacier is on Mt. Hood, Oregon's highest peak. Langille Glacier lies just west of Langille Craig.William A. Langille and his brother Harold Douglas Langille were the first to make it by skis to the Lodge on Mt. Hood, Oregon in 1890. It is likely named after these 2 brothers.
These brothers were Forestry Rangers for the U.S. Government.Theirbrother Herbert Bamford Langille taught at UCLA.
