Alexander Langille of Brule Point, Nova Scotia
Posted by: Dan Sweet Date: March 20, 2002 at 09:48:54

I am searching for information on Alexander Langille of Brule Point, Nova Scotia who may be my great-grandfather. My grandmother, Corah Blanche (McKeand) McLean, was born to Mary Ann McKeand in 1885 at Henderson Settlement in Cumberland County. Mary Ann McKeand later married Alexander Langille in 1887 and Corah had the maiden name "Langille" listed on marriage records.

Alexander Langille was born in 1829 to Thomas Langille and Mary (Salisbury) Langille. Alexander had twelve children with his first wife, Christie McBurnie and five more with Mary Ann McKeand. One of those children is not named and no birth date is listed. I am hoping that this is my grandmother Corah and that I can confirm he is my great-granfather. If anyone has information on this Langille family, I would be very grateful.

Regards,

Dan Sweet
