The connection is established by two family records, one in the possession of descendants of Alexander Langhorne and one in possession of a descendants of a brother-in-law of James Madison Langhorne's. Alexander L. and James Madison L. were both children of William Beverly Langhorne. The Texas record no longer exists in the orginal. A copy was found in the papers of Lola Miller, daughter of Dr. James S. Miller and Margaret Ophelia Gladney. It lists birth dates of five sons and five daughters of William Beverly. The family paper concerning Alexander lists five sons, four of them the same as in the Texas list, but not including James Madison L., and states that there were six daughters, names not given. The Texas list was recopied by Melalee Anne Camak of Irving, Texas, a genealogist and wife of a descendant of Lola Miller, and who sent me a xerox.
