Hello Dean,

I too am related the the Langhoens of Kirby Thore, Westmorland. I have already tried to contact your via email on the genuki Westmorland lookup exchange, however, the email was refused, maybe you have changed email address??!

My gg granma was Hannah Langhorn born 19th Feb 1824, baptised 17th June 1824 in Kirby Thore. Her parents were Lancelot and Hannah Dover. Lancelot was born 26 may 1785, baptised 5 June 1785 and died 2 April 1862. His father was also a Lancelot baptised 26 Oct 1732. His father was Henry baptised 13 Sep 1685. Henry's father was Cuthbert born approx 1651. All the births, baptisms etc in Kirby Thore.

I am very interested in the Langhorns as my mother has a lot of items passed down through the family, a needlework sampler stitched by my gg granma Hannah, a family prayer book with loads of Langhorn family dates written inside......

I am sure that we must be distantly related!! I would be very interested to find out more about the Langhorns of Kirby Thore.

Gillian McKenna
