Nicholas Lankford Jr b abt 1700 New Kent ? or Gloucester Co ? VA; m Judith unknown as per his will; lived possibly in Caroline Co VA and after 1760 Pittsylvania Co VA, which part became Henry Co VA. He is listed 1767 Pittsylvania Co VA tax list. Apparently he was sued several times and/or had unpaid debts, according to Pittsylvania Co records. He died 1779 Henry Co VA as per his will; wife Judith and sons Eli, Robert and Henry were his executors.
Henry Langford / Lankford b abt 1720s-30s poss Caroline Co VA; m Mary unknown; she later remarried a Cox in Greenville Co SC. HENRY likely lived in Surry Co NC with or near his brother Robert LANGFORD until the late 1780s, when he starts showing up in deeds in Greenville county SC. HENRY died 1794 in Greenville Co SC; 1792 land deed to his brother Eli Langford/ Lankford indicates HENRY as "of Greenville SC". Brother Robert Langford/Lankford was listed in 1790 Spartanburg SC census.
Nancy Langford b March 8, 1794 Greenville, SC m David Bruton b 1790 Greenville, SC (schoolteacher, see above) ; lived McNairy Co TN >> Tishomingo Co MS >> Greene Co MO. Nancy died 1888 in Webster Co MO.
Some material to check. Interestingly Eli is named as a son of Nicholas, brother to Robert and Henry.
