Hello, I have a George langford who was born in that area of England migrated to Canada then to Michigan to Illinois and finally to Hardin co Iowa. He married #1 Mary Ann Wallis in England , they had a daughter mobed to Canada, Michigan ,had another daughter. Mary Ann (Wallis) died so he took the children back to england to live with their Mother's parents. He came back to Michigan and remarried to Rachel Stewart , daughter of Harvey Stewart and Margaret Aber. They moved to Illinois and then Hardin co, Iowa where they stayed.
Please contact me if you feel there is a connection. I do know where George Langford's two girls from his first marriage lived and went to boarding school at in England. The two girls never got to see their Dad again. But letters were written , I am told, though I have never seen them.
