Patricia,
If your still monitoring this page, I know that John emigrated with his Mother and 2 brothers to the USA after a short stay in England after their Dad (our great-great grandfather "Owen" was displaced from his land and subsequently died of a stroke). They settled near the Rope Works which my Dad says is near Capouse Ave in Scranton. I had a photocopy of John's Mother's journal, or so I told. I have no idea were it is anymore and unable to look for it. I'm active duty AF in Korea.
My Dad has John's Naturalization Paperwork and may have some other information to pass on to you.
As to Bridget I run into a brick wall. I can't find out anything.
Ed

As a side note Owen (Eoghan) became Eugene after emigration to the USA so that's probably were Uncle Owney got his moniker.
