Lang Family Genealogy Forum

Hello All! I have been researching my family tree for sometime and have found several great historical records. But in my research I have a gaping hole... my grandfather's burial site, marriage record, birth certificate, even the date of his death. My grandfather, Marion William Lang, died when my father was very little (some time in the 1950s). My dad remembers only that his funeral was in Montgomery and it seemed like they drove forever to bury him. This information gives me little to go on. My grandmother passed away a month before I turned 2 years old --- so I don't even have that link. Any information that anyone has on Alabama langs I would love to confer and see if we have common links. I have many wonderful family lore stories, but since the majority of courthouses have burned over the years, most of the records to confirm seem to be lost. If anyONE has anything. I would GREATLY appreciate it. BTW my Great grand father was Marion A. Lang b 04 sep 1900 d 09 Mar 1971. My father is Marion A. Lang b 26 Dec 1950.
