Lane/Lean from Ballstown, New York in New Carlisle, Quebec from 1784

I am starting to investigate John Lane/Lean in an attempt to prove him as a Loyalist. This is the same John Lane family mentioned in early postings on this forum (351, 1366, 1429, 1432).

I think John Lane, farmer of Ballstown, New York, may be the same person as John Lean listed with a woman and two children in the Brig St. Peter in the "Return of Loyalists and Discharged Soldiers embarked on Board the Province Vessels for Chaleur Bay, 9th June, 1784."

I believe I am descended from Ann Lane (1775-1845), daughter of John Lane and Ann Cunningham, who married Hector Morrison and would like to connect with others researching this family.
