I am from the Ellender/Trahan/Landry line of LA down my mother's side. Family genetics tests suggest some amazing things.
There is some suggestion that Jewish genes may run these lines? Ideas?
Several Acadian/Cajun descendants have done genetics tests suggesting Middle Eastern and/or Anusim (Jewish) roots. As well, some Acadian names can be found on Inquisition lists (not the ones listed above as far as I know, but many who married in).
My (maternal) genetics tests keep showing more Moroccan, Portugeuse, Spanish, Italian, Saudi, Lebanese/Greek, and Israeli Jew.
My mother's (maternal) test tends to show more of the French, Irish, British, mestizo/Indian, and the European diaspora to South America and Mexico (Spanish, Italian, Moroccan/Portugeuse?)...
