I need help with this family. In the Succession of Agricole it is said they were the parents of 8 children. Actually they had 11 children but three died as babies, leaving 8 children.
None of the christened girls were name Carmelite, but when Carmelite Landry married Onesime Landry she was identified as the major daughter of Agricole Landry and Christine Labove.
If "major" means oldest daughter then she must have been the child baptised as Clair in 1802 makeing her about 25 when she married. But, if "major" means an older daughter she could be Camille who was born in 1807 and would have been about 20 when Carmelite married.
Does anyone out there know???
