The book, The Life and Times of The Reverend William B. Landrum of the Kentucky Conference, M.E. Church, South (published 1878 by the Southern Methodist Publish House) is now available on-line at no charge at Google.
The book is 429 pages long, and although not written as a genealogy, it does provide valuable information about this branch of the Landrum family. This Rev. Landrum covered the years 1803-1866 in his book. The book includes quick family notes, such as that concerning the death of his sister Elizabeth B. Ware, which he personally witnessed. I enjoyed learning that he once came upon his uncle, Rev. Frances Landrum, also a circuit rider, and they had a wonder evening "shouting" in meeting. Now we know these Landrums were "shoutin' Methodists". His recollections in the last two pages, as the Civil War was ending, are particularly poignant. All in all, if this is your ancestor, this is a good read.
