HELP! Landrum Family Native American Ancestry

My husband Valton (Val) and I are researching his family ancestry. His family oral history indicates that he is part Native American and we are desperately trying to document the tribe. We are stuck on Thomas Landrum and would appreciate any information to help us document the Landrum family Native American heritage.

To date we have:

Thomas Owen Landrum (B: 1889 in Virginia and D: 1966 in Texas) and Bessie Landrum (Markwith) (B: Texas in 1896 and D: Texas 1982) [my husband's great Grandparents]

Valton David Landrum (B: 1916 in Texas and D: 1992 in Texas) and Wilma Dee Landrum (Cain) [Grandparents]

Valton David Landrum, II (B: 1946 in Texas) and Margaret Susan Landrum (Everett) [Parents]

Valton David Landrum, III [my Husband](B: 1971 in Texas)
