Your message includes far too many surnames from my family to be merely coincidence.Does this story ring any bells?William Hood and his wife Martha of Lunenburg Co had a son William, who married Nancy Landrum 21 Jan 1795.They also had a daughter Martha, who married Benjamin W. Simmons 25 Dec 1800.William(sr) also mentions a daughter Nancy Lundrum in his will--I'm not sure if he means his daughter in law Nancy Landrum Hood, or if he had another daughter, Nancy, who married a Landrum..Okay, back to Martha and Benjamin, after Martha died, he and the children moved to Washington Co, KY, where they reportedly settled in the Hardin community on Pleasant Run. Shortly thereafter, he married Elizabeth Landrum, on 27 Apr 1816 in Washington Co, KY.I am descended from Martha and Benjamin, so I haven't followed up on the Landrums, but am thinking there may be some clues in this line.(eventually this line is entangled with an Ellis line from VA as well, but they were in Amherst & Albemarle Co in this period, so I will write that one off to chance!).Any leads would be appreciated!
