I noted some similarities just thought I'd pass along. Maybe nothing.

These men as you probably know or their families went to TN, SC and GA. Some married cherokee women. Also there was a Mourning LANTERN 1850 Rutherford co TNb. NC in 1773 who's name on the 1860 was LANTON. I just wonder if these and other Lantern/Lanton/lantron and Lantrum lines are the missing links or the "elusive" LANDRUM's. Especially since I noted your names of MOURNING and REUBIN. Reubin Landrums brother, above noted, Benjamin, went to mid TN.
I was searching for Mourning Landrum/Lantern/Lanton from NC if there is such and found your note. I have a Henry Lantrum b.probablybetween 1800-1820 mid TN who's name is actually Lantrum on documents I've found but whom I believe to quite possibly be a De Landrum as my family rumours match the Landrum story of the horsethief tory, the Sohphronia name, Irish/scotch descet and the "DE" or "O" that used to precede our name of Lantrum.
Oh well, thoughts for the day. Happy Hunting!
Kathy
