Landon Family Genealogy Forum

Michael, thank you for your reply. Since Landon Harrison 1790 the name Landon has been used in every generation. Landon Harrison born 1790 left a good paper trail and signed his own name plainly Landon with an a. I wish he would have used a middle or first name but he never did. My grandfather Edward Landon Harrison had a son named Weber Landon that died young. He insisted my older brother be named Landon. My brother named his son Edward Landon, who also named his son Edward Landon. my brother also has a great grandson named Landon. We are keeping the name going. It would be nice to find out where it originated. Another name used in our Harrison family that I think may have been a family name was Starling. Starling born c 1788 was a brother to Landon. I found a researcher on LDS that had his mother listed as Eleanor Starling, but the rest of what she had was not true so I assume that was a guess. Since I posted this note someone has told me the Rockingham name was London and not Landon.
Mary Harrison Gibson
