This may not be the Walter you are looking for. But my mother is a Landmesser. Her father was Arthur H. Landmesser, and he and his brother Walter were born in PA in the 1890s. His brother Walter lived in York, PA and died around 1980. He also had a son Walter who became a medical doctor. And last I heard he resided in Norfolk, VA.
Arthur, my grandfather by the way was a United Methodist minister, and spent his latter years in New Hampshire. (My middle name is Arthur, after him.) However, he and his wife Abbie (Wager) lived in the Troy/Albany, NY area for quite some time, and that is where my mother Ruth and her sister Betty (Elizabeth) were born.
If I can be of further assistance, let me know.
Peter Arthur Dearstyne, 39
