I believe that I am descended through the Christian Landis (the Christian who died in 1782 in Windsor, York, PA, with very confusing origins) Line by way of 1) Christian Landis and Maria Bixler, 2)Daniel Landis (Sr) and Barbara Landes Landis(?), Daniel Landis (Jr) and Sarah Albin, Benjamin Landis and Margaret Evaline Bray, Alford O. Landis and Ivy Mills, and Eldon Landis and Reva Dixon (my father and mother). Where things get confusing is that I see several indications that the Barbara Landes Landis that married Daniel Landis (Sr) may be the same Barbara Landes born to John Landis and Catherine Miller, and therefore descended from Christian Landis and his first wife, Barbara Strickler. Was there some intermarriage here within the family blood lines? I am fairly secure in the lineage from Christian to me, substantiated mostly by census records, but I would appreciate any help in sorting out the Barbara Landes Landis, John Landes, Catherine Miller angle. Thanks.
