I am looking for info regarding the children of Joseph R. Landis. In 1910 he was in Chariton, Lucas, Iowa. He was widowed sometime before that. He was listed in the household of William F and Eva Minnie Keith as William's father-in-law. He is not Eva's father. I am wondering if he was the father of another wife to William who may have died before he married Eva. William was twice as old as Eva when they married so it is likely that he was married at least once before her. I have found an old post on rootsweb that placed a Joseph Landis b 1791 PA in Lucas Co, Iowa in 1864 at his time of death. That Joseph had a son named Joseph Roof Landis. That post didn't go into detail about the children tho. If someone can help make a connection it would be great.
