John Scott Land married twice, to two sisters
1st - 23 Apr 1843 to Sarah Ellen Hayden who was the mother of Francis A. 1843; Andrew Gordon c.1845 Dr Charles Henry Land 11 Jan 1847 (gpa of Charles Lindburg the aviator) & Scott Ephraim b. Jan 1849;
2nd - 15 Jul 1851 to Susan Hayden 19 Aug 1828 - aft 20 Mar 1901, LA, Cal. mother of Frederick John Mackelcan Land b. 1854 Hamilton, Ont & Clare b. 1866 NY.
