Dear M Wilson,
You may have to give me a history lesson in some of this, I am not that knowledgable about it all.
More so my Campbells, and in brief they were owners of plantations SaltSpring, Orange Bay, FishRiver, BlackRiver and a few others that escape me at the present. They had some properties until about 1840/50.
The Launce/Lance name was a maternal line but seems there were some intermarriages...and I can not get much on them. I think they went back to Hackney to die or be buried...as did my 5 x grt grandfather Duncan Campbell and his wife Rebecca Campbell, daughter of
Anne Launce.
