Elaine,
I've noticed your frequent posts in the past on the Alford family.
I'm hoping you might have some insite on my Jones family, particularly John Thomas Jones born in 1792 in Virginia.(that's all I have prior to his birth). I'm trying to determine his parents or county of birth. One possible clue is he named his first son Granville Alford Jones. Does Granville Alford raise any flags with you? John married Jane Williams sometime around 1813 in Kentucky. I have not found any Alfords in the Williams family at that time. Thanks!
