Ada Lamotte / Lamont born about 1892 Canada or Vermont

My great grandmother was Ada Lamotte or Lamont. I had always heard her name as Lamont but her husband's death certificate says Lamotte.
She was born in either Vermont or Canada around 1892. Her son's birth record states she was born in Canada but the 1920 Massachusetts Census says she was born in Vermont. Perhaps a border town?
She was married to James Fredrick McCurdy before 1914 when their son was born in Brookline / Boston, Massachusetts. James died in 1858. Ada reportedly remarried around 1960 and moved away from Massachsuetts.
I have no idea who her parents were or exactly where she was from. ANY help appreciated.
