Hi Kim,
Just wondering if you've found any further information about this family. My great grandmother's name was always given as Ada Lamont but her husband's death certificate gives her name as Ada Lamotte. Her son's birth record says she was born in Canada but the 1920 census says she was born in Vermont. Not quite sure which is true...perhaps a border town?
As near as I can tell she was born around 1892. She married James Fredrick McCurdy sometime before 1914 whe their son was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Not sure where or when they were married. Her 1st husband died in 1958. Reportedly she remarried and moved away from Massachusetts.
This has become my brick wall.
