If you'll email me I can put you in touch with my former mother-in-law, Joseph Hatch LaMotte's great granddaugher. She is not only named for him, but she can tell you more about the family geneaology than you could ever possibly want to know. She knows everything about the Spalding line (one granddaugher is named Spalding) and the Mullanphys, going all the way back to the Calverts of MD. I know because I listened to it with every family visit during the 24 years I was married to her son. Sometimes I think I still rememember more about her (and your) family than my own!
