"Recently learned that my 4th gr grandmother's maiden name was Lamkin. She was born about 1799 in NH. given name
Wealthy. She married William Parker and moved to NY. Her father was Josiah, mother unknown. "

The plot thickens. Wealthy was probably a sister to my own 2g-grandmother, Lovina Lamkin, who married Isaac Parker. Hal Wilkens is documenting much of this in his forthcoming Lamkin genealogy book.

What becomes especially interesting is that Isaac Parker had a brother named William who moved to New York!! I hadn't known what his wife's name was, but I wonder now if we haven't found a match.
