First, thanks for sending me new info on these families. I currently am working on an unrelated-to-Lamkin family and have not yet had time to carefully read your material. Second, I believe John and Anne (Ferguson) Lamkin were married at Halifax County, Virginia and their marriage is in the published records for that county (but I can't find the marriage date in my file). As you may know, Sarah Amanda Bomar had a possible older half-sister, Elizabeth Bomar, who married a David Ferguson at Halifax County, 1803. I don't know if there is a relationship between David and Anne; but I do suspect there is one. David is said by some to have been a son of John and Jane (Henry) Ferguson (although I know of no real evidence to support that). Thanks again.
