I have been told that the wife C.B. Lampkin, Tuscaloosa AL, descended from an Alexander McCain of Fairfield, SC. I would like to findout if his papers were preserved in some way like at a university library. My understanding is that he had a room full of notebooks on the various branches of the McCain family. Mr. Lampkin had the original history of the McCain family, and I would dearly love to have a copy of it.
If anyone knows anything about Mr. Lamplin, I would appreciate being notified.
