Looking for information on this family: William H. Lamkin m. Edith Sloughter in Ithaca, Tompkins County, NY Nov. 21 1882. I believe that Edith was the granddaughter of Henry Sloughter (who witnessed the ceremony) and his wife Jane, of Ithaca. She is listed with them in the 1870 and 1880 census. She would have been about 16/17 at the time of her wedding.
There was another grandchild listed with Henry in those same census years: George M. b. 1863. I am trying to find a connection to Edith Sloughter to see if George M. was possibly a cousin rather than a brother and had the surname Kisor/keisor rather than Sloughter (as it shows on those census returns). Trying this forum is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone knows something about the family.
