I think you are luckier than I. My ancestor is also Joshua, and I have good documentation down to his grandson Philo Lambkin (we added the "b" around 1800).

However, Philo inconveniently died intestate, and I have only circumstantial evidence that my GG grandfather Howard was his son. I have been all through the records in Swanton, VT and lower Quebec, with only empty hands to show for it.
