Hello Robbie:

Thank you for this extract from Histoire de Louiseville.

I am a bit surprised, though. I have a copy of Histoire de Louiseville sitting on my bookshelf right now, and I can tell you that the details that you have included in your post (e.g. children of Pierre Dulignon and Marguerite De Gerlaise) are not in the Lesage book. I think that probably the person who provided the extract from the book also provided additional information from other sources, which is GREAT!

I am researching the De Gerlaise family at moment, which is why I am familiar with the Lesage book. It is an excellent, well- researched book, and if you can ever get a copy of the entire book, you should do so. It has lots of information on the different families of Riviére-du-Loup (now Louiseville, P.Q.). and Father Lesage footnoted everything!

Thanks for posting this information!
