Sherry,

I'm working with several others researching the descendants of John Lambright b. Sept. 1795, Montgomery County, Pa. John was in Beaver County, Pa. early -- his father, another John b. Jan. 1, 1759 showed up on the tax rolls there in 1802 or 1803, if I recall. For the benefit of others, Beaver County, Pa. adjoins Columbiana County, Ohio.

John Lambright b. 1795 had twelve children, and two of his sons, Lutz b. abt. 1823 and Peter D. b. abt. 1824 remained in the area and had fairly large families. I think I have a total of nineteen children between them that survived at least long enough to get on a census. The mother of Lutz and Peter D. was Sarah Hiner. Your Emma Belle is a descendant of Lutz, through his son Steven b. Jan. 10, 1852. Emma Belle was born in July 1883, from the 1900 census.

Just this morning I got extensive information on your Steven's family from another researcher. She sent me information on two of Steven's wives and a total of eight children, including the marriage of Emma Belle to William J. Stackhouse. Steven had a third wife later, apparently without children. Rather than pass along her information, let me call her attention to this post, and I'm sure you'll be hearing from her. Her name is Diane.

John Lambright's children were primarily in Beaver County, Pa., and in Columbiana, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Williams Counties, Ohio. His daughters married Lowry, Nicely, Norman, Thompson (2), and Wilson. Related surnames with multiple appearances in the family include Buckmaster, Dilworth, Musser, and Thompson.

My ancestor was Sarah Lambright b. 1836, a daughter of John b. 1795 and Rachel Musser b. abt. 1812, his second wife. Sarah married Thomas Jefferson Thompson b. 1829, and they raised their family of twelve children in Portage County, Ohio. So far, after much searching, we haven't been able to determine the parents of Rachel Musser. Although we have real good candidates, we can't 100% prove the parents of Thomas Jefferson Thompson.

Diane just opted to join our email list this morning, and this is an invitation for you, and anyone else that might be interested, to be added to the list. There are currently eight or ten people involved, some doing active research, others not. Absolutely no obligation, and we just love contributors. Please send me an email if you'd like to be included.

Jack Brode
