Many of the Lamble's in America today are descended from 3 brothers who emigrated from Steige in the Alsace Region of present day France. They arrived in America around 1880. Two brothers, Celestin and Pierre Francois (Frank) Lamble remained in Evansville, Indiana where they married sisters, Amelia and Juditha Riedy. The third brother, Joseph, moved to Kansas City and married Euphemie Begey. The family has been traced back to the early 1600's in the Alsace-Lorraine area.
