I have not come across this family. The 1881 census includes a William Lamble Aged 35 and wife Nora aged 30 living in Tormoham, with children born in Torquay, but the names do not match up - Alice (3), Betsy (12), Henry (6), John (1), Mary (15) and William (17). More detail would be needed to verify that this is the family you are looking for. If it is, then William was from East Allington, and his father John, I think, from Malborough, but there the trail goes cold as there does not appear to be a recorded birth at the right date.
