My Mathias was born 28 Nov, 1869 so isn't the same one but since both were in Minnesota were probably related. His father was Anton and his mother Mary Elizabeth Beissel m. 1867 in Douglas, Dakota County. They moved to Vermillion and stayed there. I found a civil war record for an Anthony who served in the civil war from Minn. and whose Gdn. was a son Mathias. Yours or mine?
My grandmother was born in Anamoose, North Dakota. Her father moved to Harvey, N.D. in 1904 from Hastings, Minn. When he married Bertha Lamble in 1906 they moved to Anamoose. He was 37 and she 18 when they married. Have always wondered about that?
