Hi Richard,

I have been doing a good bit of research on the Lambie family in the Newarthill area. My husbands grandmother was a Mary Ann Lambie. His father was Andrew Lambie Galloway.

Mary Ann's parents were James Lambie and Matilda Butler. I have a good bit of information on both with children. My question to you is about John Major Lambie.

I also have a good bit of info of John Major Lambie trying to connect his family with our line. The reason I am 90% certain that the two lines are related is: My brother in law is Major Lambie Galloway. We were told that he was named after another relative. And hearing that John Major Lambie went by Major is interesting.

Our line has many of the same names and lived in very close to the Newarthill area in Lanarkshire. I would love to share information.
