Just found your input to the Lambie genforum. I tried to email you but the message bounced, so I hope you are still viewing this forum.I have this family as switching back and forth between the Lamie and Lambie spelling. I was contacted only the other day by a lady who is studying the Lamie surname and has traced the marriage of Robert Lamie and Catherine Skelton if you are interested, also Robert’s baptism. I presume that John Major Lambie is a descendant of John Lamie and Margaret Ann Major who married 1st April 1859. Margaret Ann Major’s sister Mary married Thomas Alexander Jack. Thomas’s brother James married my 2nd great grand aunt Jean Craig on 8th June 1855. I have collected quite a bit of information on the extended family. My tree on Rootsweb needs updating but I am willing to exchange information,
