Hi Dean!
I know you posted your original message a while ago, but I have only recently been able to trace back my connections with the Lambie family.

William Lambie b.1786 m.Margaret Service (from Kilwinning)in 1806
Children: Marion,William,James.

William Lambie b. 1820 m. Janet Pennal 1844 in Stevenston
son: John b.1847 m. Elizabeth McIvor (from Cork, Ireland) in 1871 in Govan

son: John McIvor Lambie b. 1872.

By this time John Lambie and wife Elizabeth had moved to London, where all their children were born. I have been able to trace John Lambie in the 1901 census, where he was widowed and still living in London.
John McIvor Lambie married Ada Smith in about 1890 (unable to confirm the date)They had 4 daughters, Ada, Nellie, Winifred and Ethel, and a son John. Ada Lambie was my grandmother. The son John went to live in America, and I am as yet unable to trace him.

I hope this is of some interest to you.

Anne Lloyd.
