Am searching for information on my gg grandmother
Penelope Lambie, born May 18, 1822 in Scotland, to father
William Lambie, supposedly of Edinburgh.She marries William
Allen in Pittsburgh, PA in 1841. Children:Robert, Agnes,
Jane, Marian, Jenetta, Penelope, Margaret, William, Donald
and my g grandfather John Galbraith Allen. Penelope's
siblings were Rebecca Lambie Torrence, James Lambie, probably William Lambie and possibly your ancestor John.
You list your ancestor John Lambie as being born in 1810 in Allegheny Co. I have a record from the 1870 census
for that same family which lists John as born in 1810 in
Scotland. Think there is a great possibility that Penelope
and John are siblings. Do you have any information on the
family in Scotland??
