Hi Marilyn; i honestly cant say if there is any connection.Jessie was my grt grandmother her daughter Jean was born in 1900. I have never heard my scottish relatives talk about an American link.I have got to get both my grandparents and grt grandparents birth certificates to solve this puzzle,only problem is i live in Northumberland and work full time so i cant get to the record office.Anyway i will see what i can turn up and i will keep in touch.Thanks for replying to my query with regards Anne.
