Peter Lamar aka Cook Farnum b. 1857-8 Americus, GA- Brother John?

Hello,
My GGrandfather was Peter Lamar who changed his name to Cook Farnum in about 1883. His father was Thomas Cato Lamar and his mother Mary E. Smith Lamar. Peter had a younger brother, John, born 1860, Americus. Does anyone know what happened to him? I do not find any information on a marriage, children, or death. Any information would help!
