In DNA testing, we of the Cleveland Co. NC branch of the Garner/Gardner family, have been informed of a near perfect match between a Steve Lamar and members of our family.
We found two families of these names living in close proximity in Randolph Co. N.C. in very early census records.
An adoption, a "close encounter" or a need to change the surname for many reason? Any thoughts on this?
