Larkin Henderson Lamar b. ca 1837 married a girl named Mary A.? They had children Nancy Jane (my ancestor) b. 1860, Malissa, James and another that I couldn't read on the census. The Lamars are in the Lauderdale Co. census several times over the years from 1830 to 1880. Mary A. (wife if L.H. Lamar) was born in TN. about 1834. Her parents were born in N.C.
L.H.'s father was Larkin Lamar who married Emily Adams and they lived in Lauderdale Co. until their deaths.
L.H. remarried after Mary A. died to Mrs. Sarah J. Howard. He died in 1903 and was buried in Mitchell cemetery in the same country. She lived until about 1925.
If anyone knows who this Mary was who married L.H. Lamar, I'd appreciate help.
