3 years later, I was reading your message on LaLone Family Genealogy Forum and I realized that I might be able to help you. Definetely the Lalone and Lalonde is the same family. The family started in Baie d'Urfé, QC Canada in 1669 and the ancestor Jean de Lalonde dit Lespérance was killed by Mohawks in 1687. We have a monument in Baie d'Urfé to commémorate the death of our ancestor.
