Hi Stephen, The Lakeys my wife is interested in come from the Dodbrooke area. They were non-conformists and the children were all christened at the Ebenezer Chapel at Kingsbridge. John Lakey married Ann Phillips in 1816, their children were John born 1817, Ann born 1823, William born 1820 and Francis born 1825. Francis married Mary Roberts Mudge 1852. Mudge is my wifes maiden name and her ancestors come from Cornwood, Devon. We do not know if they are in any way connected to your branch at the moment. Eddie.
