My grandfather was Allen Lee Lakes, born in 1896 in Catlettsburg (Boyd County) KY. His father died when he was about 10 years old. When his mother remarried he went to live with a family with the surname of WHITE in Cedar Grove (Kanawha County) WV. We have not been able to trace Allen's father. His mother's name was Lucy Spellman (sp?).
