Update by the poster:
according to a 1810 census, there is a Nicholas Lake 45+, who has a male child that agewise could be Daniel.
For now I'll assume that is the case.
After searching all the pre 1810 tax records of Virginia from a website called Binns,,,there is no Nicholas Lake, or for that matter Lake residing in any county or city...ummm ,Seems I need time or help.
I don't believe my Nicholas has anything to do with the Nicholas Henry left a $1.25 in his will. From what I've found, that Nicholas lived a "documented" life outside of Virginia.

Anybody out there with a answer or a lead please feel free to chime in.
