My brick wall is the Lake family of William & Sarah Lake. He was born about 1824 in Germany. so we have been told. He was married to Sarah. When and where not available, but probably in Canada. His son is Charles Lake born 1849 in Canada or Michigan. Charles married Ellen Sherlock and they lived in Gilman IL. ( A known fact) I have been trying to trace William for years but guess he doesn't want to be found. I would be forever indebted to anyone with the correct information.
